Toyoko Inn Ichinoseki Ekimae

The room was surprisingly nice. Little touches (bookshelf, clock, painting) that help create a homely feel. The room was also very spacious and had a variety of lighting options. Also liked the bedside lamp, and USB power sockets beside the bed. The breakfast was quite basic, then again it was free. And in contrast to most business hotels, seemed to have some locally prepared dishes. It is super close to the train station. (This was one of 11 business hotels so far this trip, so I can make a fair comparison.)

It takes no more than five minutes to walk from the railway station to the hotel. The air-conditioned room is quiet and well-equipped with all amenties you need. Staffs are very friendly and supportive. The baggage can be deposited at the reception before check-in and after check-out times.

The room and bathroom are clean. Beds were comfortable, and the aircon is great, was adjustable and provided good airflow. Amenities can be taken as needed from the lobby. Decent breakfast is also in the lobby with limited seating, starts at 6.30am.

Very close to the station. Able to leave luggage before check in time. Breakfast included.

Typical Toyoko Inn experience. Fair quality and an amazing price. Breakfast in the morning is simple, but gets the job done. Train station is very close. Perfect to visit Hiraizumi and Rikuzentakata.
